NORTHING

Founded by Ben Wenhou Yu and Yilei Wang, is a multi-functional organization with a focus on publication, design, cultural events and communication. Based in Bergen, Norway and with an Asian cultural background, Northing is dedicated to promoting Norwegian culture among artists and designers in China and hopefully also the other way around in the future.

BERGEN ZINES

Initiative founded in 2011 by Ann-Kristin Stølan and Fredrik Rysjedal after meeting at Fredrik's Zine-Evening at the local bar Nobel Bopel. In its 6 year run it has also started publishing their own zines in addition to their regular events, such as the Bergen Art Book Fair

ÅSHILD KANSTAD JOHNSEN

Illustrator and children’s book author from Bergen. Her children’s picture book series Kubbe was made into animations by the Japanese animation company TMS Entertainment.

HEAVY BOOKS

Christian Tunge is a Norwegian artist, publisher and founder of Heavy Books, where he not only publishes his own work, but also books in collaboration with other art photographers.

JESSICA WILLIAMS

Artist working within the fields of photography, new media and text. Active since 2001, Jessica has published a wide variety of artist’s books and zines both online and on paper. Now running Hverdag books.

IMI MAUFE

Imi Maufe is a visual artist originally from Norfolk (UK), based in Bergen since 2009. She is a central artist in the Bergen art book scene, not only through her own studio practice but also in curating and organising exhibitions.

KAY ARNE KIRKEBØ

Kay Arne Kirkebø graduated with a master in Fine Arts in 2014 from Bergen Academy of Art and Design, and is working with complex, isometric patterns and structures. 

GUNVOR RASMUSSEN

Gunvor Rasmussen is an illustrator based in Bergen, where she is also running a gallery/shop in one of the old houses at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen. 

SVEIN STØRKSEN

Svein Størksen is one of Norway’s most profiled illustrators. He is engaged in the field of illustration both professionally and academically.
